Design a QR code in the studio editor, download it in print-ready formats, and save it as a tracked campaign.
You can design and download a code without an account. Signing in is only needed at the point you save a campaign or create a dynamic code — the editor asks when you get there.
On the content tab, pick a type — URL, Text, Email, Phone, SMS, WiFi, vCard, Loc, Event, BTC, FB, X or YT — and fill in its fields. The preview updates as you type.
Set dot and corner shapes on the shapes tab and colours on the colours tab. Gradients and logo upload are included from the Launch plan; the free tier includes 4 templates and 3 frames.
The Scannability section on the Ultra tab scores your contrast and logo size. Error correction is set high, so a reasonable logo does not break scanning — but low contrast can.
Pick a format — PNG, SVG, JPEG, WEBP or PDF — and select "Save". SVG is a true vector document and PDF is print-ready.
Select "Save to Campaign", name it, and select "Save to Dashboard". The campaign gets a short /r link and appears on the Campaigns page, where the eye icon opens a preview you can download.
For URL codes, switch the toggle from "Static" to "Dynamic" before saving. The rendered code re-encodes to a tracked /q link whose destination you can edit after printing. Each dynamic code uses 1 of your plan's monthly allowance — 2 per month on Free.
These are the real states you can hit, and they are not the same thing: an empty list, a read that failed, and a feature that is not built are shown differently in the app on purpose.
What it means: Saving a campaign or creating a dynamic link needs an account; designing and downloading does not.
What to do: Sign in, then save again — your design stays in the editor.
What it means: The dynamic-QR allowance is per plan per calendar month (Free 2, Launch 25, Growth 100, Scale unlimited) and it is spent.
What to do: Wait for the reset on the 1st, upgrade on the billing page, or save a static code — static codes are unlimited on every plan.
What it means: Password protection, A/B rotation, geo-targeting, scheduling and frame styling are saved on standard campaign codes only — a dynamic code does not carry them.
What to do: Save as a standard campaign code to keep those settings.
What it means: The read of your account failed, so every gated control shows its most restricted state. That is the failed read talking, not your tier.
What to do: Reload in a moment. Saving still checks your real plan on the server, so nothing is decided by the failed read.
What it means: Magic effects — and frames — are drawn around the code in the preview. The downloaded file contains the clean, scannable code itself.
What to do: Nothing to fix: the export is deliberately clean. Recreate surround styling in your print layout if you want it on paper.
